“A tan today is a sunspot tomorrow.”
We asked Esthetician Kaitlin Pierson a few questions about her role at Revive and how she strives to provide the best service and experience for her patients.
1) What’s your education and/or specialties?
I became a licensed esthetician in 2008 but learning never stops! I’ve been trained in a variety of topics ranging from pregnancy facials to chemical peels, reflexology to micro-blading. There is always something new to learn and I love that aspect of this field.
2) What is your favorite area to treat or procedure to do?
I LOVE seeing the difference from when a client walks in the door to when they leave.
Whether that be an acne client leaving with clearer skin or someone with dry and fragile skin get a strong healthy glow! Also every facial is a mind-body experience, and I take that seriously. I want all of my clients to not only look better but to feel better when they leave.
3) What’s your favorite product and why?
Oh it’s hard to pick a favorite! But I could not live without SkinMedica AHA BHA cleanser. I love using it in the treatment room to buff through layers of dead skin and it’s a staple in my own weekly routine.
4) What do you love about working at Revive Med Spa?
I truly enjoy being surrounded by such an amazing group of smart, talented, and supportive women!
5) What’s a fact that most clients don’t know that you wish they did?
You can’t bring dead skin back to life. So often I see clients loading on moisturizer only to continue to feel dry. You have to exfoliate off those dead skin cells so that your moisturizer can really sink into the skin that matters.
6) What do you wish you would’ve known about skincare when you were younger?
A “tan” today is a sunspot tomorrow. Please please please wear sunscreen everyday, no matter what! Particularly one with an SPF of 30 or higher. And NO THE SUNSCREEN IN YOUR MAKEUP IS NOT ENOUGH!
